The truth audit — checked today, on your real account, on the live site
22 July 2026. Every number below comes straight from the live production data for your account — not a test account, not a demo. Every screen was opened and photographed today.
Why your “People you may know” row is empty
It is empty because — right now — there is genuinely nobody real to put in it. The row only shows real people (you approved removing the stand-ins), and it draws from two pools:
- People waiting for your vouch back: you have none. You already vouched back all six people who vouched for you. (The only person still “waiting” is Franklin D. Roosevelt — a stand-in, so he’s excluded.)
- Friends of your friends: you have none yet. Your six vouched friends haven’t vouched for anyone else real, so there is no “friend of a friend” to suggest.
So the row shows the “Grow your network” card instead — that is the app working as designed on a network this young, not a bug. It fills up the moment your friends start vouching for people you don’t know.
Your real numbers, from the live database
- 6 real people are connected to you directly — Dylan, Matthew, Ben, Jake, Joanna and Saxon — and every one is mutual: they vouched you, you vouched back.
- 0 real people are waiting on your vouch back.
- 0 real friends-of-friends exist yet (everyone at 2 or 3 steps out is a stand-in persona).
- 9 real people are on the whole platform today: you plus your 8 friends (the six above, plus Neal and Conor, who are in your groups but haven’t vouched or been vouched yet).
- Your groups: Loren’s Friends has all 8. Just the Tips (Dylan, Neal, Conor), The Annual (Ben, Jake, Saxon), BB Tester Team (Matthew), Clinton Hill Neighbors (Joanna). Polsters Plus and Woodard+ Family are empty. No stand-ins in any of your groups.
- Your 8 early members are back in their original groups — the “restore” you were asked about already ran today, and they also stay in Loren’s Friends. That question on the punchlist is out of date: it’s done.
What the audit found on the review pages
Wrong, and now fixed
- The walkthrough’s step 8 handed you the wrong link. It called it “the real link you’ll be sending people”, but it was the link for Woodard+ Family — an empty group. Anyone opening it would land in an empty room. It now hands you your real launch link — Loren’s Friends, with all 8 people in it.
- The new “everything that went live overnight” review page had four problems — it asked you to decide the “restore the 8 members” question (already done this morning; answering “leave them” would have actually undone it), it never said your own people-row currently shows the Grow-your-network card, it called the practice-group host “clearly marked” when the invite screen doesn’t mark her, and its “every picture is phone width” line didn’t match three of its own pictures. All four corrected.
- About eighteen of the internal preview pages were out of date — still saying things like “proposed — nothing shipped” or “stays off until you approve” about features that are actually live (the guidelines page, the block button, the founding-member badge, the mass-vouch switches, the deny-a-vouch flow, several email notes, and more). They now say what is actually true, and two pictures of stand-in people that weren’t labelled now say they’re stand-ins.
Wrong, and handed back to be fixed on the punchlist (another lane owns that file right now)
- The punchlist still asks you to decide the “restore the 8 members” question — it already happened today. That row should move to “shipped”.
- Two cards tell you to “glance at your home feed” at the people suggestions without warning you it will be the Grow-your-network card — which is exactly how it looked broken last time. They should say plainly what you’ll see today, and why.
- One card says its link opens your group’s members page — it actually opens the group’s invite page.
- “Nothing is mid-build” is no longer true — three small improvements went back into build this afternoon.
Checked and true
- The group-join bug fix is real: people can now be in several of your groups at once — your own data shows it working.
- The practice group for walkthrough step 7 (“Sunday Supper Club”) exists, is empty and waiting for you, and its host is clearly labelled a stand-in.
- The stand-in still visible under “Waiting on you” on the Vouch page (Franklin D. Roosevelt) is marked as a stand-in, as promised.
- Every link on the punchlist and walkthrough opens, and every page fits a phone screen with no sideways scrolling — checked at phone width and desktop width, 40 screenshots.
- Your line “Tell your network where you want to go.” really is clipped on a phone only — that card was right, and correctly says so.

Every page photographed today, phone and desktop side by side. Anything captured with a test account (because nobody can sign in as you) is clearly marked “proxy”.
